POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide guidance to management in reviewing benefits eligibility and compliance with applicable benefit plans. Develop and administer various benefit programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure compliance with applicable benefit plan requirements through research, documentation and education
2. Review and make recommendations relative to plan administration, system maintenance, and vendor management
3. Resolve complex questions, concerns or problems regarding benefits by interfacing with internal departments and vendors, i.e. Legal, Payroll, communication, benefit vendors, and consultants
4. Develop strategies and processes in support of FXF’s benefit strategy
5. Update HR leadership in regard to regulatory changes, updates and processes
6. Represent FXF on cross Enterprise project teams as the subject matter expert pertaining to internal benefit programs
7. Communicate updates on applicable projects proactively
8. Coordinate with Human Resources, keeping the department updated on changes, updates and legal issues
9. Review and research H&W escalations and coordinate resolution with carriers
10. Monitor vendor case resolution within performance standards
11. Serve as a liaison between HR and vendors
12. Provide consultation with managers and employees on benefit programs
13. Respond to employee inquiries and research escalations with appropriate carriers for resolution
14. Ensure that effective measurements are implemented and maintained with regard to various third party services
15. Research and administer voluntary benefit programs managed by the operating company
16. Ensure the Health Benefits information systems properly define benefits eligibility requirements and that educational material is up-to-date and system is functioning properly
17. Provide support on data file issues between TPA, carriers and FXF related to eligibility, enrollment, and other employee life events
18. Monitor internal benefits processes and vendor invoices and payments
19. Work closely with accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate benefit payments, track monthly invoices and provide necessary reporting and reconciliation of plan expenses
20. Participate in system testing including annual enrollment user acceptance testing
21. Develop materials and resources specific to Freight; update intranet content for all employee benefits
22. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
23. Perform other duties as required

Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $70,579.00 - $133,818.00 per year
Colorado Pay Ranges: Springfield $70,579 - $111,515; Colorado Springs, Grand Junction $75,519 - $119,320; Henderson, Mead $79,753 - $126,010; Gypsum $84,695 - $133,818
Illinois Pay Ranges: East Moline, Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford $75,519 - $119,320; Aurora, Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $84,695 - $133,818
New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $75,519 - $119,320; Nichols $79,753 - $126,010; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $84,695 - $133,818
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience plus five (5) years’ experience in benefits related field (private or public sector)
• Knowledge of various lines of insurance and medical terminology
• Ability to review and understand application of benefits
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
• Must be able to convey information regarding benefit processes, which are related to the application of benefits and claims administration
• Good time management, organization and interpersonal skills
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
