Training Systems Analyst I
Description
Supports the development, maintenance, and operation of training systems and technologies used in flight training environments. This entry-level role assists in simulation design, data analysis, system testing, and technical support while learning to optimize training tools and systems. Works under the guidance of senior staff and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support organizational learning, flight safety, and analytics.
Essential Functions
Simulation Support: Assist with the setup, configuration, and basic development of flight simulation scenarios. Work with senior developers and engineers to help ensure simulation content meets training goals.
Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and organize training data from simulations and other sources. Support basic analysis and help prepare summary reports or visualizations to evaluate training effectiveness.
System Testing: Participate in system and scenario testing activities. Follow test scripts, document issues, and support efforts to ensure systems meet regulatory and training requirements.
Technical Support: Provide first-level technical assistance to instructors and users during training sessions. Help identify and resolve minor system or user issues.
Documentation: Maintain records of simulation parameters, scenarios, and technical issues. Assist in updating user guides and technical documentation.
Learning and Development: Stay current on industry tools and trends. Participate in training, workshops, and team meetings to build technical knowledge and skills.
Compliance Awareness: Learn about relevant regulations such as AQP (Advanced Qualifications Program) and support compliance through accurate implementation and documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
No professional experience required; internships or academic projects in software development, simulation, or data analysis are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a collaborative team.
