• What you will do?
This position is for Tax Specialist – Senior supporting taxation of Middle East region and includes UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, covering VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, courier levy related compliances, reporting, litigation, audits, advisory, planning and execution. Support tax planning, research, audit and compliance activities across multiple Middle East countries. Ensure accurate and timely execution of all tax obligations while maintaining compliance with local regulations and corporate standards. Support with practical advice and recommendations to finance teams and functional heads.

Prospective candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in taxation with a large organization (preferably with exposure to VAT/indirect taxes) in at least one major Middle East jurisdiction. The candidate should be able to undertake following responsibilities:
o Prepare and file various statutory tax returns for Middle East jurisdictions such as but not limited to VAT, WHT, CIT, QDMTT, TP. Prepare the underlying workings. Co-ordinate with cross functions for data requirements.
o Maintain and adhere to tax compliance calendar, stay abreast with recent / upcoming changes in tax laws such as e-invoicing etc. and work with tax management & other functions to assess impact as well as implement those changes.
o Prepare and maintain statutory and tax documentation as well as tax SOPs in compliance with FedEx and local requirements. Implement the processes for controlling the effective storage & retrieval of tax related documentation.
o Participate in tax audits / examinations by fiscal authorities across Middle East jurisdictions; perform checks, analyses, and develop timely recommendations. Ensure timely collation and filing of data.
o Support with preparation, filing, and follow-up of VAT refund claims, including compiling supporting documentation and coordinating with tax authorities during reviews or audits to ensure timely recovery and compliance with local regulations
o Participate in month end activities for the purpose of tax accounting and reconciliation of tax balances in books; participate in year-end review of financial statements for statutory audit purpose / other local requirements.
o Contribute to research on diverse tax issues impacting corporate tax liability; present findings with rationale and implement agreed solutions.
o Analyse business changes to advise on transfer pricing policies; review and update policies as business evolves.
o Support country finance teams in preparing quarterly and year-end tax provisions; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
o Participate in group level projects, analyse and implement the relevant changes locally in consultation with local tax & finance management. Work with external consultants as required, in a cohesive and optimal manner.
o Investigate complex direct and indirect tax issues; support to develop strategies to minimize risk and exposure.
Behavioral & Skill Requirements
o Exposure to Middle East tax regimes is highly desirable.
o Strong understanding of tax legislation and ability to translate tax concepts into practical solutions.
o Quick learner with an aptitude for continuous learning & development
o Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
o Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Good organizational skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines.
o Sound judgment, reasoning ability, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
o Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and financial accounting systems.
o Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across functions
